Gain Remote Access with a USB! (Scary Easy)

This cybersecurity & ethical hacking tutorial explores how ethical hackers, penetration testers and red teamers can gain remote control over a target system using a USB device (Bad USB / USB RAT). We demonstrate a method for remotely accessing a computer by plugging a USB device into it, showcasing the impact of badusb attacks. The USB device used is the ATtiny85 microcontroller, which can be programmed using the Arduino IDE. The device will act as a keyboard, allowing an ethical hacker to program it to send keystrokes which lead to the execution of malicious software (malware). We are going to be using droppers on the USB side and running powershell scripts by downloading them from the attacker's web server. We will use powershell reverse shell & netcat reverse shell / nc reverse shell to catch the callback. At the end, you can find recommendations and best practices to avoid & defend against the attack shown in the video as well as BadUSB attacks.
