Do you carry a crash bleep? Would you like to gain competence and confidence in medical emergencies and stabilisation of the crashing ward patient?

Welcome to the Mind The Crash Bleep webinar series.
In this series, we will host webinars approximately every two weeks, each time presenting and working through an adult emergency case and gaining the maximum possible learning from it. We will pause at specific moments, giving you time to think about and mentally commit to how you would interpret a test result, manage a situation or make your next steps. This will harness the power of mental simulation and active learning.

Whilst progressing through the case, we will discuss and review relevant theoretical and technical knowledge, but maintain a focus on practical stabilisation and how to get things done. For example, if Amiodarone is required we won't be talking about Amiodarone-induced thryoid dysfunction, but we will talk about what size cannula you need and why.

The patient details will be altered to preserve patient anonymity, but the teaching cases will be inspired by real emergencies and resuscitations. Led by registrars in Acute Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia & Critical Care, the Mind The Crash Bleep series will bring learning and insights for all resident doctors who look after sick patients.
