90-94 Lexus LS400 Starter Motor Replacement - Part 1 - Removing the Air Chamber

Hello and welcome to another Lexus LS400 video, in todays video we will be removing the air intake chamber from the Lexus LS400. This is one of the first steps to acess the starter motor, and a fairly complicated, intimidating and labor intesive job. On the LS400, there are so many components mounted on the air chamber, as well as attached to it. You have to remove a multitude of vacuum lines, sensors, brackets, the throttle body, and drain coolant. In this video I hope to give you an idea of the scope of this job, and give some tips and tricks. I dont think I can be 100% explicit in every step, this job will take some skill and critical thinking, and care.

I hope this helps many of you get your Lexus LS400 back on the road and running.

-Intake manifold gaskets
-Fuel line gaskets
-Throttle body gasket
-Water bridge gaskets
-Starter motor
Starter relay is recommended
-Fuel dampener and regulator gaskets, fuel line gaskets
-EGR pipe
-5 quart jug of coolant
-You will likely need connector shells from NZefi.com
