Changing Brass is a social history of brass bands which was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in November 2001. Part one deals with the period from about 1830 to 1900. A lot of the information will be known to anyone who has read Trevor Herbert's and Dave Russell's books on brass band history but it's still an entertaining listen.
