DiVloggie Ep 11 - Visiting Smithfield and Windsor Castle Park

Hello my dear Virginianites and welcome to another DiVloggie!!

On today's episode we're gonna explore the city of Smithfield just a little bit after getting GASSED UP at Wawa!

I had a meeting at the Visitor Center in Smithfield, but they don't open until 10 so I figured I could get there a bit earlier and explore a little.

I decided to head to Windsor Castle Park first to get my walk on! Yall know this isn't the fittest I've ever been in my life so I really need to go for more walks.

Windsor Castle Park is really nice and has multiple points of entry. I parked across from Smithfield Station and entered from the bridge. It was super pretty and this is quite a popular park and understandably so. A lot of people came to walk/run while I was there. There's also a kayak launch!

Next I decided to actually walk to the Smithfield Visitor Center instead of drive because it was only a15 minute walk away.

It was an easy walk with wonderful views of all the super cute houses! If you've never been to Smithfield, you have to visit to check out some of the cute historic homes! They are so uniquely Smithfield.

I got distracted on my walk by the flowers in front of The Fiddlin' Pig. I definitely want to check them out in the future because I loved all the outdoor seating they had. They specialize in British cuisine so I'd love to try it!

I finally made my way to the Visitor Center and met with some of the nicest people I've ever met at a welcome center! You can tell Smithfield really cares about the locals and the ladies there were super sweet!

I signed up for a volunteer opportunity and looked at the art briefly. This Visitor Center is also an Art Center so it's a great first stop if you're ever visiting Smithfield!

I can't wait to see what the future holds for Dinnie in Virginnie and Smithfield, but I'm looking forward to finding out!
