Navan & District Historical Society presented an afternoon of informal talks that celebrates
The Hanly Collection - a series of old photographs from the 1890's around Navan that gives
a glimpse of life and times of that era.
Talks included:
1. Maire Hanly Oakes - The Hanly Family
2. Frances Rocks - The Hanly Collection, fashion plates
3. Paschal Marry - The Hanly Collection of Meath's antiquities
4. Mairead Crinion - The Hanly family, out & about
5. Clare Ryan - Revisiting memories,the enduring appeal of old photos
6. Round table - questions & answers
The Meath County Council, Community Grants Scheme funded the digital scanner
and laptop for the photographic glass plates.
