Mastering MTB is more than going fast or jumping high — it’s about smart, skilled, and safe riding. Always look ahead — your bike goes where your eyes go. Anticipate obstacles, avoid sudden surprises, and choose your lines wisely. Keep a relaxed but active stance: elbows out, knees bent, and your center of gravity low. This improves bike control, balance, and absorption. When descending, shift your weight back slightly and let the bike float under you. Use both brakes wisely — never slam them. Feather the rear in loose conditions, and modulate the front brake for control. When cornering, press down on the outside pedal, lean the bike, and keep your body stable. Maintain a good tire pressure balance for your terrain to avoid flats and boost grip. Lastly, practice regularly, ride within your limits, always wear your helmet and pads, and treat every fall as a lesson.
