Today I am in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, a cool little town with an interestingly ambiguous history. Founded in 1841 along the Beaver Dam River and Beaver Dam Lake and of course, a beaver dam itself. Later the Wisconsin Railroad came through town and brought with it, commerce and industry. Today, it's a cute little gentrified downtown with some good restaurants, beautiful churches and a huge 15 mile long Lake. I found a new favorite burger spot at Chili John's, open since 1920 and still run by the founding family. SUPER COOL LOCAL HISTORY!
