Hey everyone! Here's a Kai update. We opted for her to have knee surgery after the Physical Therapy Vet said it was unlikely that Kai's knee would ever heal. It turns out she was right. Post surgery, the Vet said she tore up her knee really well. Apparently she tore her meniscus and her ACL tendons.
We found a different Vet. the Surgeon who would do the surgery for a greatly reduced cost than most "specialty Vets." Our local specialty vet would do the surgery for $2,500 starting price. Ouch. But the vet who did the surgery came recommended by a family member.
But we walked away just over $1,000 including 2 checkup visits and full x-rays! Woot!
