35. My Dream

Little Boy: (To the audience) I’m so excited! I’m going to find out what makes people truly happy. I will ask everyone I meet!
(Little Boy skips off stage. The scene changes to a throne room with a king on a throne.)
Scene 2: The King
King: (Looking proud and regal) I have everything I could ever want: a big castle, lots of gold, and beautiful clothes. I must be the happiest person in the world!
(Little Boy enters, looking up at the King.)
Little Boy: Your Majesty, what makes you truly happy?
King: (Smiling) My kingdom and all my treasures make me happy. But sometimes, I wonder if there’s something more.
(Little Boy nods and exits. The scene changes to a rich merchant’s shop with lots of shiny goods.)

Scene 3: The Rich Merchant
Rich Merchant: (Polishing a jewel) Look at all my wonderful things! I have the finest clothes, the most delicious food, and beautiful gems. I must be the happiest person!
(Little Boy enters.)
Little Boy: Sir, what makes you truly happy?
Rich Merchant: (Thinking) My wealth and my things make me happy. But sometimes, I feel like I’m missing something.
(Little Boy nods and exits. The scene changes to a simple farm with a farmer working the land.)
Scene 4: The Farmer
Farmer: (Smiling and working hard) I love working on my farm. I grow my own food and care for my animals. I feel very happy.
(Little Boy enters.)
Little Boy: Hello, Farmer! What makes you truly happy?
Farmer: (Wiping his brow) The simple things: working with the earth, helping my animals, and spending time with my family. That’s what makes me truly happy.
Little Boy: (Thoughtfully) Thank you! I think I understand now.
Scene 5: The Lesson
Narrator: (Standing at the side of the stage) The little boy learned that happiness isn’t just about wealth or power. It’s about finding joy in the simple things and being content with what you have.
(All characters come on stage and stand together.)
Little Boy: (To the audience) I’ve learned that happiness is found in the simple things, like spending time with loved ones and enjoying life’s little moments.
King: (Nodding) I will remember to appreciate the simple joys in my life.
Rich Merchant: (Smiling) I’ll try to find happiness in the small things, not just in my riches.
Farmer: (Cheerfully) And I will continue to enjoy the simple pleasures of my daily life.
Happy Children: (Running on stage and laughing) And we’re happy because we’re all together!
Narrator: (To the audience) And so, the little boy and everyone he met learned that true happiness comes from appreciating the simple joys in life. And they all lived happily ever after.
(Everyone waves to the audience.)
