In fact he used it against the brunette, exploiting his weaknesses. But when Castiel finally comes down from his high he pleads for Sam to give him one more chance. Telling his lover that he can't believe he laid his heart on the ground and that he would do anything for Sam. He'd come for him, fight and lie for him and even die.
