This is an attempt to probe into the mystical world of the opening line of Shahname. This great book of Persian epic has been subjected to brilliant editing as well as great mythical and literary studies. However, its mystical values have scarcely received any attention. I hope this little educational clip kindles some passion in students and hopefully would-be scholars.
As with parts 1 & 2 I have done my best to be understandable to the non-native students of Persian literature who speak English and Persian only at an intermediate level.
About my classes:
I teach Persian literature in English and Persian. In class I speak rather slowly and use a limited number of words, so all you need to have is an "intermediate" knowledge of these two languages.
My online classes are especially useful for non-native students of Persian literature who wish to read more famous literary texts word by word and in depth.
