One of my favourite 35mm cameras, this Minolta repo takes photos in portrait using the half frame format.
Built in exposure meter, exposure is controlled by setting the aperture appropriate to the light levels. This is indicated on top of the camera using a needle, to correctly expose the photo you simply line up the green indicator with the needle and take the photo. Still working after nearly 60 years.
The shutter had started to stick after I had used it whilst on holiday, so I took it apart, cleaned it and lubricated the shutter mechanism. Luckily this can all be done from the front of the camera and does not require major surgery.
Reassembled and back to fully working order.
