The Bible’s concept of the afterlife wasn’t always about heaven and hell—it evolved dramatically over time. This video traces the shift from Sheol, a neutral underworld where all the dead went, to later ideas of resurrection, divine judgment, and eternal punishment. Influenced by Persian, Greek, and Roman thought, the afterlife morphed into a system of fiery torment, eternal damnation, and final judgment in the Lake of Fire. If God’s word is unchanging, why does His afterlife doctrine keep changing?
