はるかなるシルクロード鉄道　～中国横断2600キロの旅～ 丝路列车行 Silk Road

This documentary film followed the Japanese actor Hayami Mocomichi on his train travels along the ancient Silk Road. Starting from Xi'an, Mocomichi traveled 2,600 kilometers to Urumqi via Lanzhou, Dunhuang and Turpan. The film introduces local lifestyles, scenery, and cultural and historic relics, including the ancient city walls and Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an; the Maijishan Grottoes in Lanzhou; the Mogao Grottoes, Yumen Pass and a section of the Great Wall in Dunhuang; the Flaming Mountains and Gaochang Ruins in Turpan; and Heaven Lake in Urumqi. This program offers an exquisite portrait of the cultures along the Silk Road and explores their fusion with Western cultures.
