Super Citizen: The Next Great Americans is all about shaping tomorrow’s leaders by teaching kids the values that actually matter—character, citizenship, and community. In this video, we take a behind-the-scenes look at the Super Citizen program and how it helps students understand what it truly means to be an engaged and responsible American.
From lessons on U.S. history and civic responsibility to honoring local heroes and role models, Super Citizen goes beyond textbooks. It connects real-world values like respect, accountability, and service to everyday life, empowering young students to see themselves as the next great Americans.
This program isn’t about politics—it’s about purpose. It encourages kids to think critically, act responsibly, and contribute positively to their schools and communities. Whether you’re a parent, educator, or community leader, this video highlights why early civic education matters and how programs like Super Citizen help build a stronger future from the ground up.
If you’re interested in education, youth development, community impact, or inspiring the next generation, this video is for you.
Here’s what it is and what happens:
What the program is
A free, classroom-based educational program for kids (often grades 1–5) focusing on American history, civics, character, financial literacy, and career readiness.
It’s part of what they call the “Next Great Americans” initiative — designed to help students see themselves as future contributors to their communities and country.
How it’s taught
Students go through a 10-week experience that combines videos, lesson plans, activities, and projects.
It usually starts with a kickoff event — sometimes featuring a live character called “Libby Liberty” and patriotic performances — to excite students about the curriculum.
What students do
Learn about key civic concepts like freedom, symbols of the U.S., immigration, veterans, and community responsibility.
Work on hands-on project learning, like identifying and honoring local “heroes” (people who demonstrate good character in the community).
Culmination/Recognition
At the end, students have a graduation celebration where they receive certificates and may publicly honor community heroes they’ve studied.
The goal is to reinforce pride, understanding of civic duties, and character — basically encouraging students to grow into “great Americans.”
