My First Impressions of Taliban Controlled Afghanistan

I have been thinking about visiting Afghanistan for a few years now and I finally was able to do it. Welcome to Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan where my journey around the country starts. I am here to meet the Afghan people, learn about their history and culture and of course eat the Afghan street food.

After a quick stop at my $22 hotel it was time to hit the streets of Kabul and start exploring the Old Bazaar where I got a couple traditional Afghan outfits for my stay. I also had to try some Afghan street food as eating is literally my favorite part of travelling. Pomegranate juice, bulani, doogh and all the fresh fruits you can imagine as they were in season. Afghan street food is for sure a highlight for me!

From there we kept walking around Kabul and its different market, food joints and just kept being amazing by this interesting city. Visiting the last box photographer of Afghanistan was also such a unique experience especially as a photography enthusiast.

Something that surprised me, was how many green spaces Kabul had just like Babur Gardens. Kabul is truly a city full of life, history, welcoming people and delicious Afghan food of course. I really hope you are going to enjoy this Afghanistan travel vlog series.
