General information:

The two-way ANOVA is a parametric statistical method that is used when you have two indepedent variables (= factors) and one test variable. This test is used to assess whether the means for the main effects and/or interaction effect are different. The test variable needs to be on the interval or ratio scale.

Within this video I'll show how to test the homogeneity of variances assumption using Levene's test. This is NOT recommended though, as I thoroughly explain throughout. If your group sizes (stemming from factor combinations) are roughly equal, you do not have to worry about the assumption (Field (2018), Discovering Statistics, p. 259).


For example:

I have two factors (I) gender, II) work experience) and I want to test the mean income for differences across the groups that are a combination of the factor combinations using the two-way ANOVA in SPSS.
