SHIP TRAINING AND PROMOTION PROJECT
The development of the maritime sector in recent years has led to the increase of new shipbuilding and the equipping of state-of-the-art equipment and equipment.
The best way for the personnel working on board to perform their duties is parallel to the extent to which they know the ship, with their knowledge of using devices and systems.
It takes time for the first personnel assigned to the ship to recognize the ship,systems and devices. Introductory trainings are provided in accordance with the ISM system on ships.But this training is directly proportional to the knowledge capacity of the person providing the training, and it cannot be to the extent that it will cover the entire ship.Changes of up to fifty percent of personnel are made from time to time, and there are no personnel to promote the devices, systems or ship.
Preparation of operational introductory videos of all devices and systems for the deck and Machine section separately for each of the ships. In addition, it will be useful to prepare videos of routine maintenance operations of machinery and deck equipment.
Tanker,chemical,container, dry cargo v.s. each type of ship has its own devices and systems, and having separate promotional and training videos for each ship will contribute to the ship's personnel and office personnel..
Intended benefits from these promotional and educational videos:
1-personnel manager,10-15 days on land waiting for the ship to participate in the ship by providing the opportunity to recognize the ship in advance by providing a video.
2-if the personnel participating in the ship do not know the systems and devices that they will use, these videos should be a guide.
3-elimination of efficiency loss and failures caused by improper use of devices and systems.
4-Be a reference source where people who come for the purpose of internship will learn the devices and systems that they will meet for the first time.
5-Office staff have information about all parts of the ship with these videos,
6-videos of ships owned by shipowners appear on their shelves as nostalgia in the future.
7-use of videos to be prepared for each ship for the promotion and advertisement of ships to be sold
8-the self-confidence of the personnel will increase at the rate at which he knows the ship and it will be ensured that he does his duty in the best way possible.
In order to bring my thoughts to life as an example in the light of the above assessments, I prepared a video series under the name of the ship promotion and training project.
In this study, the general introduction of the ship's deck and machine and the operational use of all devices and systems on the bridge and deck were explained. Although all deck personnel ,from the crew to the captain, never knew the ship, these videos are intended to fully recognize the ship, systems and devices.It is useful to carry out this work in all devices and systems related to the machine Department.
