There is a spectrum of sexual energy that, like music, ranges from bass to treble - dark to light. The amount of "bass" you use is up to you based on the "music" you want to make. To eliminate it would be like only making music with mid-range and treble, so some dark energy is needed to experience the fullest range possible in your intimacy.
Dark energy when brought with love has a sacred capacity, but it has to be brought with meticulous awareness. Dark energy repressed often comes out as pathology and can be very dangerous, so finding a healthy, safe way to express it is very important.
