Winter Dog Sledding On The Frozen Lake in Perfect Arctic Weather & Camping In Military Training Area

My van looks more military vehicle than a Camper Van. We traveled in our camper van to Jämi to watch the Finnish Sled Dog Championship races, where I also assisted competitors as a handler.

The Hämeenkangas region within Jämi is primarily used for military exercises but remains accessible to hikers, with certain restrictions during training periods.
The Finnish Defence Forces utilize training area in Jämi to maintain operational readiness. These areas are managed to balance military training needs with public access and environmental considerations.
