Meet Maia Wallace - Singer & DEI Specialist

Vancouver based singer and recording artist Maia Wallace is a true citizen of the world who grew up in Ghana, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Britain. A graduate of University of British Columbia (UBC) in Political Science and Sociology, she was Black Student Union Co-President with an activist background going back to high school.

Maia is a former Justice Equity and Inclusion educator at Simon Fraser University (SFU, speaker and mentor to youth featured at Girlhood by Odihi Foundation's Bigger Ideas Conference in 2024. She was the subject of a film about being Black in Vancouver in 2022 directed by Stephanie Okoli shown at the Toronto Black Film Festival.

She is the creator of the Creative Solutions in DEI Workbook for Kreativ Culture Strategies. The workbook is a learning companion for the book Thinking Outside the Boardroom - Creative Solutions in Diversity Equity Inclusion and Anti-racism.
