Using a more traditional method of harvesting corn for silage, we watch Old Order Amish in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania use a corn binder. The corn stalks are cut at the base and tied into bundles with binder string. The corn is then loaded onto wagons and brought back to the silo where a chopper awaits. The unloading of the bundles into the chopper is a dangerous job and more than one Amishman has lost his life in the chopper.
