after seeing steams tags on this post on tumblr and a brief discussion with delikit, i have added a note in the captions saying that in context, hercs line at the beginning can also be translated as "Besides, it's an awfully empty feeling to be separated from 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼'𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂." its the same phrasing mickey and riku use immediately afterward. so turn on cc to see it!


ADDENTUM 2:

since ive gotten multiple comments about 0:35, i feel like should explain why i included it if yall dont wanna check the doc i linked (https://tinyurl.com/goodlookinghuh)

yes, the word donald uses (格好いい, ‘𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘬ō𝘪𝘪’) can be translated as 'cool/cool-looking' (i think). however, in regards to sora saying かっこよく (‘𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘬𝘰𝘺𝘰𝘪') beforehand, the spanish translation uses 𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘱𝘰, and the chinese translation uses 帥 (‘𝘴𝘩𝘶à𝘪’). both of these words are consistently localized as
'𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦'. and, as you can see from the video, sora says he 'never look[s] this good' in the english translation, NOT 'never look[s] this cool.' ergo, it stands to reason that 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘴 the usage donald is referring to. hes referencing sora saying yozora is good-looking. e̶v̶e̶n̶ ̶i̶f̶ ̶y̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶t̶ ̶s̶h̶i̶p̶ ̶s̶o̶r̶i̶k̶u̶,̶ ̶'̶m̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶h̶i̶m̶!̶'̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶a̶ ̶p̶r̶e̶t̶t̶y̶ ̶b̶a̶d̶ ̶t̶r̶a̶n̶s̶l̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶I̶M̶O̶
