Renovated Shrine and Prayer Hall Inaugurated at Ramakrishna Mission Jammu

The Renovation and Inauguration Ceremony of the Shrine and Prayer Hall at Ramakrishna Mission, Udheywala, Jammu, was held with great devotion and enthusiasm on Friday, 24 October 2025.

The day began with Mangal Arati, Adhivas, and Stotra Path at 5:30 am, filling the atmosphere with spiritual vibrations. This was followed by a Procession (Prabhat Feri) around the existing temple premises, accompanied by devotional chanting and bhajans. Many monks & devotees joined in it.

A Special Puja was performed from 7:15 am to 9:15 am, followed by a Havan invoking divine blessings for peace and harmony.

The highlight of the ceremony was the Benediction and Presentation of Mementos by Revered Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math. In his short benedictory speech, Maharaj emphasized the ideals of purity, harmony, and selfless service as taught by Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda. He expressed joy over the renovation of the shrine and prayer hall, remarking that such spiritual centres play a vital role in nurturing moral and spiritual values in society.

Later, the Lift and Renovated Physiotherapy Clinic of the Mission’s Medical Centre were also inaugurated. The initiative was under the CSR activities of J&K Bank. The programme concluded with Arati and Lunch Prasad, attended by 200 people including monks, devotees, and well-wishers from Jammu and surrounding areas.

The event marked yet another milestone in the ongoing service and spiritual activities of Ramakrishna Mission Jammu, which continues to work for the upliftment of humanity through education, healthcare, and spiritual guidance.
