Hey friends! Today, we're making incredibly delicious, crispy, and juicy lavash turnovers. They're the perfect snack for any occasion: for breakfast, a picnic, a holiday table, or simply as a quick and hearty dinner. They're easy to make, but the result is astonishing!
✨ Ingredients for 6-8 servings:
· Armenian lavash — 2 large sheets
· Chicken breast — 500 g
· Fresh champignon mushrooms — 250 g
· Mozzarella cheese (or any other cheese that melts well) — 150 g
· Tomato — 1 pc.
· Fresh herbs (dill, parsley) — a small bunch
· Egg — 1 pc. (for brushing)
· Vegetable oil for frying
· Salt, black pepper — to taste
📝 Step-by-step recipe:
1. Filling: Finely chop the chicken breast and fry it in oil until cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Separately, fry the finely chopped mushrooms until golden brown. Season with salt.
2. Assembly: Mix the cooled chicken and mushrooms. Add the finely chopped tomato (discard excess juice) and the herbs.
3. Shaping: Cut the lavash into strips. Place the filling on one end of a strip. Roll it up into a tight little packet/turnover.
4. Baking: Brush the turnovers with a beaten egg for a golden crust and sprinkle cheese on top. Place them on parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 5-7 minutes, until they are crispy and appetizing!
