Reminiscing [Little River Band] Cover *** Approximation ***

In this video I play 'Reminiscing' by Little River Band. What a fresh little tune, kinda in the mode of Steely Dan, who I really love. I don't know any other Little River Band music but this song is a corker and quite fun to play on piano so I decided to lay it down, fresh stylee.

I first heard this song in the Bellagio, Las Vegas. It's pretty much my favourite place on earth - nice hotel rooms, nice pools, loads of great restaurants and shops and gambling tables as far as the eye can see. I love to gamble. Anyway, the lovely people at the Bellagio like to pipe in soft, 70's musak; through the casino floor, in the restaurants and even in the outdoor poor area. I was relaxing on a lounger next to the pool whilst drifting off to sleep when a few songs pricked my ears: the first was Black Cow by Steely Dan, an absolutely boss tune and one that I might do on the Approximately channel in the future, and the next one was this song. It was one of those moments when I hear some music and then try to identify it online as quickly as possible, before I forget it. Luckily I found out the artist and song name and swiftly downloaded the sucker. Now I've recreated it, in an approximate fashion, for the human race via the internet. What a ripper!

This channel is about me playing some of my favourite tunes in an approximate manner-not quite perfect and not necessarily in the right key either. I’ve selected these tunes due to them having what I think is an amazing melody, sweet, sweet harmonic structure or for some other inexplicable reason. They might just be fun to play on piano.

I usually just play by ear.
Enjoy but please don’t bug me about inaccurate, sloppy musicianship because (a) I already know, and (b) that’s what this channel is, sort of, about. There are plenty of other better musicians out there on YouTube for you to ogle.
