[Plague Inc: Evolved] 1x Speed (Casual) in

I'm back baby! and with the help of new strategies, I've lowered the world record by 9.9 seconds and my PB by 10! LeventK got 2:33 flat, so I decided to play 1x Speed with the new strategy, and this is what I got!

There's a glitch with the Nano-Virus ability essentially, or if you wanna call it this, a really insane exploit of the mechanics. Basically, the ability for Nano-Virus allows you to get loads of infectivity for a short period, with your infectivity being slightly reduced after that period of time. However, theoretically, if that boost never stopped, you could actually save a lot of time over Neurax Worm. If you get pop-ups, then the boost wearing off is delayed, and the boost stays in effect. Usually, this only causes the boost to last at most 2-3x longer than usual, which isn't enough to make a huge difference, however, it was good enough to get sub-1 minute with Nano-Virus.

Funnily enough, the thing that makes this exploit so effective is an option that usually seems useless, and pretty annoying for experienced players: the "Extra Tooltips" setting. These pop-ups have been turned off in the past due to the nature of the way Transcendence worked with Neurax Worm, however, with Nano-Virus, they are insane. They can delay the boost wearing off until the end of the run, which saves multiple seconds over Neurax Worm, even in Any% Casual. The world record for Any% Casual of 46.733 is actually 7.5 seconds faster by using Nano-Virus rather than Neurax Worm (technically 54.233, but 54.250 on leaderboards) because of it, and this is in a category that was already less than a minute long. The only reason this run isn't as earth-shattering is because of how optimized 1x Speed was, at least for Neurax Worm. Before the Nano-Virus exploit, nobody realistically tried for WR, and when LeventK got it, it was only by a few frames. I do think sub-2:20 is possible, and I might try grinding for it! First, I've gotta get sub-50 in Any% first though.
