Kuwait is known for having a large oil industry, a large foreign expatriate population, the most powerful currency (Kuwaiti Dinar), and an incredible indoor mall that rivals the Dubai Mall. But in spite of this, Kuwait City doesn't get a lot of tourists. But it does have another travel appeal.
Kuwait was ravaged by the Gulf War (Iraq invasion). But little was left from that time. But I noticed unusual abandoned buildings, hotels that were refurbished and museums that are spooky and a little bit "too real".
This dark and unusual side of travel makes Kuwait an interesting place to visit, in spite of it having the title of the "most boring city in the middle east". So we're checking out all the places in Kuwait and things to do in a quick stopover.
