A capacitor has capacity C and reactance X. If capacitance and frequency become double, then reactance will be X/4.
A capacitor of capacitance C has a capacitive reactance (XC) given by the formula XC = 1/(2πfC), where 'f' is the frequency of the AC current and 'C' is the capacitance. This reactance is the opposition the capacitor offers to the flow of alternating current and is measured in ohms.
