This was my third session with my electric unicycle, an Inmotion V8F. The video was helpful to me, because I was hunched over a bit, which I corrected by standing up straight after this video was taken. I'm using yaw steering | arm flailing for balance and to steer, flail left to steer right and vice versa. On day 1 session 1, I spent about 20 minutes using a rail and getting advice, mostly to constantly steer left and right rather than trying to ride straight. On day 1 session 2, I spent about 5 minutes doing some short runs using the tennis court fence for assistance. After that I veered away from the fence, not expecting to get very far, but I somehow managed to keep balance and steer well enough to do 1 lap at a time, at 3 to 5 mph, later 2 laps at a time. On day 2, I increased this to 4 laps at a time. I realized that a larger location would be better to continue learning, so I moved to a long outdoor parking lot, allowing me to ride at about 8+ mph for 40+ seconds at a time, where my V8F became self-balancing: I no longer had to make balance corrections, and I could relax my arms and essentially stand still if riding in a straight line. I was aware that nothing had "clicked", but instead I was just riding fast enough for my V8F to become stable. I didn't have any issues with leaning forwards | backwards to accelerate | decelerate. I then learned how to tilt the EUC to steer: at first small tilts to see how V8F would respond, then weaving side to side, and then large radius turns. My wife took another video on my tenth session: • Learning to ride electric unicycle, day 10 .
