연세대 국제 캠퍼스는 인천형 송도신도시의 공간구조 및 가로체계와 연계한 캠퍼스 축의 설정, 쿼드(Quad) 형 건축물과 중앙의 비워진 공간으로 만들어지는 클러스터형 배치를 근간으로 계획된 1단계 마스터플랜 이후, 대학이 중심이 되는 (송도신도시) 혁신거점으로서의 교육 및 연구 혁신 생태계 조성을 목표로 하는 2단계 사업이 진행 중이다. 미래 첨단기술 인재 양자 분야에서의 선도적 역할 수행을 목표로 하는 프로젝트의 제안에 있어, 기존 캠퍼스가 갖는 공간구조와 질서를 존중하면서도 프로젝트가 가져야 할 상징성과 기능을 충족하기 위한 계획의 방향으로 ‘채움과 비움의 균형’을 통한 기능의 연계 및 기존 컨텍스트와의 새로운 관계를 제시하고자 한다.

The Yonsei International Campus aligns with the spatial structure and street system of Songdo New Town in Incheon. The first phase of the master plan established a campus axis with quad-style architecture and a central open space that forms a clustered layout. The second phase of the project aims to build an innovative education and research ecosystem, positioning the university as the core of Songdo’s innovation hub. The project is designed to play a leading role in nurturing talent in advanced quantum technologies. While respecting the spatial structure and order of the existing campus, the plan seeks to enhance both symbolism and functionality through a balanced approach between "filling and emptying," integrating functions, and redefining relationships with the existing context.
