Extract from the recently regraded UK trad climbing film On Sight. Here we see the young and extremely bold Neil Dickson attempting an on sight of 'Margins of the Mind' the UK's first E8 on Cloggy. The route was first climbed by John Redhead, Neil is belayed by non-other than the first ascensionist himself. So many quotable lines from John here: 'it nourishes the soul' 'he met some old friends and they were pretty gnarly'. John points out later in the film that when he first climbed this route Neil wasn't even born. Full film here -
