19 August, 2025: The Security Council convened for its annual Open Debate on conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV)titled “Identifying innovative strategies to ensure access to life-saving services and protection to survivors of sexual violence in conflict zones”. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Eloy Alfaro de Alba, Permanent Representative of the Permanent Mission of Panama to the UN. SRSG-SVC Pramila Patten, and the Coordinator and Founder of Darfur Advocacy Group, Ikhlass Ahmed were among the briefers.
