With the announcement of the withdrawal of some of the current rolling stock used on Dublin's Rapid Area Transit system (DART) operated by Irish Rail we find ourselves in Southern Ireland to capture the current operations of the DART trains but more specifically the Class 8100's; the oldest stock on the DART network being built back in 1983.
Over a 12 hour period spread across two days we visit all 31 DART stations starting at Greystones we head towards Bray and onto Dublin Connolly station via Dun Laoghaire. We then head northwards towards Malahide via Howth Junction, before returning back down to Howth Junction and onto Howth itself where we conclude our journey across the network.
Something a little bit different for our channel but we hope you enjoy a little taste of what other countries have to offer with their rail networks.
