Cataract Gorge Kayak, Launceston

Boxing Day 2019. And to ease past Christmas Day, we went for a kayak up the beautiful Cataract Gorge, in Launceston.

Just a couple minutes from the town centre, the Gorge is a very pretty place to walk / hike / swim … and kayak.

You can only get so far before you reach some rocky rapids, but it' still a really enjoyable, if not short, kayak.

On our 2017 Overland Track attempt, after incurring an injury, we were rescued by the Tasmanian Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
