NYC Traffic Light Wall Feature Made Using a Used UK Traffic Light Bought for £20

After a recent trip to our local vintage shop we spotted this set of old English traffic lights, giving us the idea to make our own interior lighting in the style of a New York City traffic light. This would look amazing in a urban home, bar or restaurant.

We started by stripping off the old plastic, replacing the back unit with a slimmer aluminium tray which we used to house a RGB lighting system complete with small battery and remote controller unit. After cleaning up the original plastic we tackled the old lenses and brought them back to life. Finally we gave the light a new lick of paint in Signal Yellow for that authentic American traffic light look.
