Ten from Ted: This Passover, I’m Fighting for Freedom—For the 59 Still Held Hostage

In my address to AJC Washington's Diplomatic Seder, I had the honor of speaking on behalf of AJC and expressing our deep gratitude to the courageous former hostages and their families. For 551 days, 59 innocent people have remained in Hamas captivity—and we will not stop fighting until they are home.

I spoke about the horrifying events of October 7, when 1,200 lives were lost—including 364 at a music festival—and how global antisemitism has surged in its wake. I called for bold diplomacy, moral clarity, and concrete action from governments around the world to combat this rising tide of hate.

We must never forget what happened. And we must continue to stand strong—for the hostages, for Israel’s security, and for the freedom and dignity of all people.
