After visiting in 2023, Dave and Maria Blancett decided to buy an $835K house in the planned community of Babcock Ranch. The town, built by developer Syd Kitson and designed to withstand hurricanes, has already been tested by Hurricanes Ian and Milton and came out with minimal damage.
