Back at it! I am kayak fishing some new territory on this beautiful November day. The wind is low, and the water is flat. This allows me to head out further and explore some new fishing grounds. Deadman Key is a spoil island that borders the Florida barge canal. It has rocky points and deep water good for Black Drum, Redfish, Speckled Trout and more. Launching my kayak at the ebb of a negative low tide, I walk my craft half of the two-mile trip out to the spoil islands and wait for the water to move on a big incoming tide. Boy did it! And so did the fish! The day is perfect, and the fishing is even better. Come along and enjoy the day with me. Tight Lines!
