Everyone says Malaysia is cheap—but I wanted to see it for myself. I spent the day exploring Kuala Lumpur’s most famous areas like Bukit Bintang, KLCC, and Pavilion Mall, checking prices on everything from food to coffee to dental care.
From luxury shopping malls to street food corners, from local warungs to international cafés, I was trying to figure out—how affordable is KL really these days? Walked through Jalan Alor, explored side streets, checked out grocery stores, transport, and even did a little people-watching to understand the vibe.
Not complaining—just observing. And no, Malaysia isn’t expensive… but the “super cheap” label might not always match reality, depending on where you go and what you do.
