Florentia Kavoura believes in the importance of creating an inclusive learning environment and addressing the educational needs of diverse audiences. "I strongly believe that in a short time, we will achieve equity in Civil and Structural Engineering." Florentia, assistant professor of Steel and Composite Structures, investigates innovative technical solutions on how a multi-material structure with sustainable materials can be designed for re-use. She also investigates ways to re-use structural components from existing buildings into a new circular built environment. Her research passion transpires through her lectures where she inspires the next generations of engineers.
