On the other day, my band got called for the last minute gig.
We've been playing a lot of originals and hard bop songs, however every time when we play gig with Lonnie Plaxico (bass player from Art Blakey and Jack Jack DeJohnette's band), he reminds us of playing music for people, in the most of case young crowds who's coming to the club for dating etc.
He encourages us to add more RnB repertoire, and I thought what if we do music like Butterfly.
I've played it sometimes but never learned fully, so I decided to practice it on the guitar and found this chord melody arrangement.
It helped to get my right hand technique for rhythmic chord playing quite a lot. Hope you'll like it.
