Building The Lamborghini of Kitchens Pt 3 - M.E.P., Drywall and Tape and Float!

In this episode, Joseph takes you behind the scenes on one of our boldest luxury remodels to date: what we’re calling The Lamborghini of Kitchens.

This isn’t your average kitchen renovation — it’s a full-scale, high-end kitchen transformation with a focus on precision, performance, and build quality. In this video, we’re walking you through some of the most critical stages of the construction process: framing corrections, plumbing rough-in, electrical rough-in, and full drywall installation with tape and float finish.

We kick things off with framing corrections — squaring out walls, adjusting header placements. Proper framing is essential to ensure accurate cabinet layouts, appliance clearances, and long-term structural integrity. You’ll see how we adjusted framing around the door openings and ensured level ceiling joists.

Next, we tackle the plumbing rough-in, routing new supply lines for sinks, refrigerators, pot fillers, and dishwashers. Every water line is pressure-tested and properly stubbed out to anticipate final fixture locations and backsplash alignment.

Then it’s on to the electrical rough-in phase — arguably one of the most critical steps in modern kitchen design. Joseph walks through our approach to installing dedicated circuits for high-load appliances like double ovens and induction cooktops, properly spacing GFCI outlets along the backsplash, and pre-wiring for under-cabinet lighting, island pendants, recessed can lights, and dimmable LED zones. Every junction box, conduit run, and switch leg is placed with final design intent in mind.
