If you want to keep your original pre-recorded cards in good condition, it pays to copy them and use the copies to save wearing out the originals.
The process is fairly simple and requires loading the source card into the calculator's memory. Then it's just a matter of switching the calculator to programming mode and running through an un-write-protected blank card to write the program/data to it.
The memory contents is written to the blank card and that creates an exact replica of the original.
No copy protection issues to worry about here!
The cards are two sided and when the card is inserted with the label 1 going into the card reader first, the data is read/written to side 1 of the card, and the same goes for side 2.
The cards are pulled through the card reader automatically. Not need to drag the card through at a specific speed like machines such as HP-75C. • HP-75C - An Introduction to HP's First Por...
If a program requires more capacity than available on one side, the calculator prompts for the card to be reinserted to read/write to the second blank side.
Write protecting a card is as simple as clipping off the indicated corner of the card.
