Isla Alejandro Selkirk is a remote and rarely visited island in the Pacific Ocean. It is part of the Juan Fernandez Archipelago with Robinson Crusoe Island being the main island. Due to the remoteness the flora is highly endemic and on Isla Selkirk there are 5 bird species that are endemic to that island. One of the most iconic one is the Rayadito de Masafuera. The islands are a National Park of Chile.
The purpose of the expedition was to document the nature and to do research on the endemic birds.
The documentary was filmed in January 2025.
