Beef 3lbs
Bacon 1lbs
Potato's 10-12 pieces small
White cabbage 1 large head
Tomato's 4
Bell peppers 3
Onions 1 large
Carrots 3 large
1tbs salt
1tbs whole cumin seeds or 1tps ground cumin
1tps ground coriander
1tps ground black pepper
Cut vegetables into preferred sized cubes, potato's should be cut in half, set aside 4 to 5 whole cabbage leaves with the rest of the cut vegetables, cut the rest of the cabbage into large pieces. Cut beef in to large cubes, each plate should have one cube of beef in it.
Take large nonstick pot or dutch oven, layer bottom of pan with bacon followed by a layer of beef, all spices and half the salt goes on the beef. Layer vegetables in the following order, onions, carrots, tomato's, potato's, bell peppers, followed by a little salt on top then layer cut cabbage followed by the whole cabbages leaves on top of everything. Cover with lid and set on high heat for five minutes, when pot begins to simmer set heat to low and let cook for 2 hours, do not open lid or stir. Serve with one piece of meat and one potato in each plate. Enjoy.
