Dr. Dipesh Navsaria on Importance of the first 1,000 Days of Life

In his presentation, Early Experiences Elevate Everything, Dr. Dipesh Navsaria discusses the critical importance of the first 1,000 days of life and early education programs, such as One City Early Learning Centers, a new two-generation preschool in Madison, Wisconsin. One City was established to prepare children for school and life success before they enter kindergarten, while assisting their parents and serving as extended family as well.

Dr. Navsaria shared ways a child’s learning and overall development can be nurtured and hindered during the most critical years of childhood. Dr. Navsaria is a noted physician who practices primary care pediatrics at Access Community Health Center. He is the founder and director of the Pediatric Early Literacy Projects at the University of Wisconsin, founding medical director of Reach Out and Read Wisconsin, director of advocacy training for the pediatric residency, and director of the MD-MPH program at the University of Wisconsin.
