The Universe, The (Hello) World ad Uranus

In this presentation I will talk about my background in computational astrophysics, how it got me into the world of programming and how it influenced my work as musician for Nanowar Of Steel.
I will first talk about my scientific projects based on HPC computing and C/C++ coding with MPI and OpenMP multi tasking and multi threading optimization.
Then I'll touch upon my Machine Learning projects, using Python and implementing classical tree based algorithms as well as deep learning in several areas of Astronomy and Earth Observations.
I will then talk about some of the music projects that are related to the scientific and technological world: the songs Uranus and HelloWorld.java

Edoardo Carlesi was born in Rome 1983. Physics BSc, Theoretical Physics MSc from Roma 3 University in Rome and Astrophysics PhD from the UAM Madrid. I worked for more than 10 years in the field of cosmological simulations and computational astrophysics (focused on HPC and C/C++ development) before moving back to Rome and starting a career as a Machine Learning Specialist at the Innovation Lab of Top Network S.p.A. (focused on Python and ML/DL). Nanowar Of Steel founder and bass player.
