The new Renters Rights Bill is looking to make big changes in the way renters can be evicted from property in the UK. Currently Section 21 notices, so called "no fault eviction notices" will cease to exist and there are proposed changes to the Section 8 notice, typically used when tenants fall into arrears.
Steve Mitchell, an experienced investor, landlord and letting agent talks about how the proposed changes will affect renters and landlords and how this could play out. A must watch for tenants and landlords in the UK. These changes are set for a summer 2025 start date, but as of now (Sept 24) final legislation is still set to be confirmed.
